Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has suggested that the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, may be innocent of allegations linking him to the controversial fake Federal Government agency, arguing that there is no publicly available evidence connecting him to the matter.
Speaking in a video posted on his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze questioned the basis of the allegations against the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, saying accusations of such magnitude should be backed by verifiable evidence.
According to him, major financial transactions and official dealings usually leave documentary or electronic trails that investigators can verify.
He said: “For me, I may be wrong, but it just looks like accusing an innocent man. He might not be innocent in every matter, but in this matter… make I ask you, how una see am?”
Daddy Freeze’s comments come amid renewed debate over allegations involving Prince Matthew Adeyemi, who has been accused of operating a fake Federal Government agency.
Commenting on his post, one netizen, Raymond, popularly known on social media as princeraymond15, also questioned called for investigators to establish the source of the alleged N400 million said to have been used as a bribe.
According to him, investigators should determine Adeyemi’s financial capacity before the alleged appointment, including whether he owned businesses, investments or had previous employment capable of generating such a large sum.
“N400 million is an enormous amount, and if such an allegation is being made, the source of those funds should be examined as part of any thorough investigation,” he stated.
Fresh claims circulating online also contend that Adeyemi, during an interview, denied ever meeting or speaking with Gbajabiamila and said he possesses no call records, documents or other evidence linking the Chief of Staff to the alleged scheme.
The claims further allege that a purported engagement letter attributed to the Office of the Chief of Staff is not authentic.
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been issued by the relevant authorities confirming or disproving the latest claims, while investigations into the broader allegations are yet to be concluded.
