Gas plant explosion causes panic in Ogun

A gas plant located around the Mowe area of Ogun state has exploded, causing huge panic around the area.
Witnesses said the plant explode and went into flames near the Redemption Camp at Mowe Bus Stop, in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
It was gathered that the explosion caused apprehension in the area as residents and workers at various organizations within the area had been running helter-skelter to keep safe.
A witness who reside in the area and gave his as Ademola , said the explosion occurred around 10.30 am, close to the camp. “We were outside going about our business when we suddenly heard the explosion, and everybody scampered to safety and we were wondering what was going on. As I speak to you, the location of the explosion is burning.”
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
He said, “We are already on our way and the location of the explosion that we got was Redeemed Camp, Mowe Bus Stop.”
