Abdulaziz Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, son of the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has reportedly picked the National Democratic Congress (NDC) form for the House of Representatives seat for Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency. If cleared by the Kano State chapter of the party, he would test his strengths against the likes of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Tijjani Abdullakadir Jobe, who has been a long-standing member of the National Assembly representing the constituency.
Sunday Sun reports that aspirant Abdulaziz has over the years been aligned with the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso despite the political rivalry between Kwankwaso and his father.
Sunday Sun reports that his reported interest has sparked off political debate as to his real motive, with many insisting however that he was entitled to purchase the form, and to aspire for any political position of his choice.
Insiders however described him as the family’s prodigal son, noting that he has severally opposed his parents in the public space.
