Speaking at the inauguration, which took place at the Government House, Kano, at the weekend, the governor said the committee would look into the matter at hand, with a view to reconciling aggrieved party members in the interest of peace, cohesion and understanding, ahead of the 2019 general election.

The governor admitted that it was normal to record misunderstanding in a democracy, adding that Kano was bound to experience such political complexities given that it was the biggest democracy  in Nigeria, and has the highest number of elective constituencies in the country and dismissed insinuations the Presidency was angry over the party’s primaries elections in the state.
