Ganduje appoints eight new commissioners, sends list to State Assembly

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has submitted the names of eight new commissioner designates to the Kano State House of Assembly.

The dvelopment, Monday, followed the resignation of a sizable number of members of the state Executive Council who resigned to pursue their respective political careers as specified by the new Electoral Act.

Among the names of the new Commissioners are a former political ally of Senator Ibrahim Shekarau;, Garba Yusuf Abubakar.

Others are Ibrahim Dan’azumi Gwarzo, Abdulhalim Liman Dan Maliki, Lamin Sani Zawiyya and a former Speaker of the state House of Assembly , Ya’u Abdullahi Yanshana.

Others are Yusif Jibril Rurum, Saleh Kausani and a former National Assembly member, Adamu Abdu Panda.

The fresh appointment, months after the resignation of some members of the Council is believed to be part of measures to strengthen the act of governance in the state.
