The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) have expressed deep grief and heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Niger State over the tragic tanker explosion that claimed numerous lives and left many injured.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje described the incident as a heartbreaking tragedy that has caused immense pain to families and communities across Niger State.
“We are profoundly saddened by the loss of lives and the suffering caused by this unfortunate incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, the injured, and all those affected. We stand in solidarity with the government and people of Niger State in this moment of grief,” Ganduje stated.
The former Kano State governor commended the swift response of emergency services and called for all necessary support to be extended to the victims and their families. He also urged relevant authorities to take proactive measures to prevent a recurrence of such tragic incidents in the future, assuring the government and people of Niger State of the APC’s unwavering support during this difficult time.

While praying for the repose of the souls of the departed and the speedy recovery of the injured, Ganduje reiterated his commitment to advocating for improved safety measures in transportation to safeguard lives and property nationwide.
In a separate statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the NWC also expressed sadness over the ill-fated tanker explosion.
“We deeply condole with the bereaved families and wish those injured a speedy recovery. We also commiserate with the government and good people of Niger State over this tragic incident.
“We applaud the spirited and patriotic efforts of emergency relief agencies in mitigating the impact of the unfortunate incident. Our profound thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with the grieving families and the entire state at this difficult moment. May the souls of the departed find rest. Amen,” the statement concluded.
