A retired director from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mukhtar Galadima, has praised Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas’ alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a strategic step to unlock more federal projects and democratic benefits for residents.

Speaking to journalists, Galadima portrayed Kefas as “a smart and dynamic leader who is focused on innovation and development for the people of Taraba State.” He added that the governor’s closer ties with the federal government show he “has the interest of the people at heart and is determined to attract more development to the state.”

Galadima, now vying for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, tied his candidacy to a push for inclusive governance. “My decision to contest was informed by the lack of participatory democracy in the constituency,” he said. “Elected representatives must carry the people along in governance.”

He highlighted how rival states snag constituency projects while Wukari/Ibi lags behind, despite its agricultural riches amid widespread hardship. Leveraging his FCTA tenure and networks, Galadima positioned himself as the fix: “By virtue of my experience at the FCTA and my wide network of contacts built during my years of service, I am well positioned to bring positive change and development to the constituency.”

Urging voters to back him, he promised transformation through unity. “Support my aspiration… collective effort would usher in the desired change,” Galadima appealed, confidently forecasting “a new dawn” for Wukari/Ibi if elected.
