Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen could be announced as the new captain of Turkish Super Lig club and Istanbul giants, Galatasaray.
Quoting Turkish football pudit, Ali Naci Küçük: “Galatasaray wants to give the captain’s armband to Victor Osimhen if they don’t continue with Mauro Icardi.”

Osimhen delivered a phenomenal tenure at Galatasaray, becoming a defining figure in their recent domestic dominance. Since arriving, the Nigerian striker has broken records, played a massive part in back-to-back Turkish Süper Lig championships, secured a Turkish Cup, and tallied over 35 goals in multiple consecutive seasons.
Meanwhile, Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates have paid a courtesy visit to Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan after their 26th League title win. It is Osimhen’s 2nd visit following the back to back title success.
