The relationship between Galatasaray and Super Eagles ace, Victor Osimhen, which has created considerable excitement not only in Türkiye but also across Europe, is now official.

After days of intense negotiations with Napoli—sometimes complicated by the fluctuating demands of the club’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis—the discussions have reached their final stages.

A deal has been struck, involving an upfront payment of €40 million, with an additional €35 million to be paid in two instalments before the end of 2026.

Napoli’s requirements for a bank guarantee have been satisfied, and the contract includes a clause stating that the star striker cannot be sold to any Italian club for the next two years.

Additionally, Napoli will receive a 10 percent share of any future sale of Osimhen.

As the final details are being ironed out between the two clubs, the contract is ready for signature. Both the Italian media and sources close to Osimhen indicate that the transfer could be finalized within hours.

Galatasaray’s president, Dursun Özbek, has shared the positive news with manager, Okan Buruk.

Özbek, who was actively involved in the process led by Abdullah Kavukçu and made the final arrangements, informed Galatasaray’s coach, “We’re bringing Osimhen to Istanbul within the week.” The club’s media team is preparing a groundbreaking announcement for this historic transfer, which involves a record fee of €75 million.
