Injured Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen is anticipated to return to Istanbul on Wednesday for a thorough assessment of his hamstring injury.
Osimhen sustained this injury during Nigeria’s World Cup Playoff final match against the Democratic Republic of Congo in Rabat, Morocco.
Following the incident, Galatasaray officials reached out to him via phone to check on his condition.

According to Turkish football journalist, Ali Naci Küçük, Osimhen indicated that the injury could be serious.
During the conversation, Osimhen shared that he was experiencing significant pain in his hamstring, which ultimately led to his substitution from the game. He also mentioned having difficulty walking, prompting the need for further medical evaluation.
Upon his arrival in Istanbul on Wednesday, he will undergo an MRI to better understand the extent of the injury.
Given this situation, he may have a limited chance of participating in Saturday’s Super Lig match against Gençlerbirliği.
