Friends , relations and associates of Chief G. O. B. Aneke family of Udi in Enugu State, will on Monday, December 30, 2024, converge on the ancient Kingdom in remembrance of their patriarch and his late wife, both of whom died in the 1990s.
A joint statement by Chief Mrs Kate Ude (nee Aneke) and Mrs. Carol Nzeakor (nee Aneke), both daughters of the deceased couple, said that Chief Godwin Obinna B. Aneke (Nwachinemelu) who died in 1990, and the late Caroline Nwadinume (Adadioramma), who died four years later, would be specially commemorated by the children, grandchildren, and their guests.
Tagged A Celebration of Life and Solid Foundation, the event is expected to highlight the virtues for which the couple were respected in the community, and the enviable legacies they left behind.
The daughters said the ceremony would take place at late Chief G.O.B. Aneke’s compound at Umuigwa, Okunino Village in Udi Ancient Kingdom.
According to them, their parents lived exemplary lives and laid a very solid foundation on which the big family has been thriving.
“They left a legacy worth celebrating, and that is why we are remembering them”, the statement said.
