FutbolConect deserves recognition as an emerging platform democratizing football access across the world and creating new pathways for African talents to connect with the global football ecosystem.
By bringing players, clubs, academies, scouts, intermediaries and opportunities closer together, the platform is helping to bridge the gap between grassroots football in Africa and the international stage.
Building on this vision, FutbolConect is set to host the Talent & Club Growth Development Summit 2026 on Monday, August 31, at 1:00 PM at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The summit, themed “From Grassroots to Stardom,” will bring together key stakeholders across the football ecosystem to discuss talent discovery, club growth, professional networking and sustainable opportunities within the football business.
Expected participants include club owners, academy operators, scouts, FIFA-licensed intermediaries, coaches, players, administrators, investors and sponsors.
Former internationals, FIFA-licensed intermediaries, several club owners and representatives of the NFF, NLO and NNL have already been confirmed to attend.
FutbolConect says the summit will focus on four key pillars: Connect, Register, Earn and Grow, with the objective of creating stronger networks and opening more opportunities for people and organisations within football.
The event is expected to provide a strategic platform for conversations around grassroots development, player visibility, scouting, club development and investment in Nigerian football.
