Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council (Princess), Benedicta Attoh, will be conferred with an award of recognition as a Fellow and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Champion of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Centre for Sustainable Development, Effurun, Delta State.
Chief Press Secretary to Etsako East Local Government Council, Benjamin Atu, in a statement, said the nomination for the prestigious award of service was contained in a letter of notification sent to the council chairman and signed by the Director of the Centre, Emeka Elemike; Green Activist, Harrison Agboro, director of the programme; and Okezi Odugala, deputy director/external partnership/liaison.
“Warm greetings and commendation for your dedication, exemplary leadership abilities, selfless service, and positive contributions to people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership which is in tandem with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and Africa Union Sustainable Development Agenda 2063.”
According to them, the Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government, Benedicta Attoh, would be decorated and presented a certificate of recognition during the 3rd anniversary and roundtable on sustainable development to be held at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources campus in Effurun, Delta State.
As part of the activities to commemorate her investiture, Attoh will also be expected to plant a commemorative tree at the university campus to mitigate climate change as she is expected to deploy her wealth of experience towards sustainable development.
The programme is expected to take place by 10 am on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the university campus.
