The federal government of Nigeria, says it is ready to commission long awaited Funtua Inland Dry port, which its foundation stone was laid by former President Mohammadu Buhari.
Recall that the Funtua Inland Dry Port was one of the dry port project initiatives created by the former administration to bridge the gap of delayed goods delivery to landlocked areas across the country.

According to a release made available from the office of The Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy,  Adegboyega Oyetola,
The project, which is an initiative of the Shippers council in conjunction with Equatorial Marine Oil & Gas, the concessionaire of the facility, is meant to be pivotal to the seeming economic empowerment of the zone through maritime services.
The Minister, while thanking President Bola Tinubu for his kind gesture, noted that the project, which it’s commission date is the 5th of March, has remained laudable from inception until the commissioning
“We know for certain that this is yet another giant leap forward in growing a robust economy for Nigerians and our dear nation.
Thus, the general public is advised to look forward to this epoch-making event in the economic development of our dear nation and, especially the states in the northeast part of the country”.
