The Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), has released cut-off marks for courses for 2026/2027 academic session.
A statement by its Registrar, O.G. Obayom, titled: 2026/2027 approved aggregate cut-off of programmes.
Medicine and Surgery has the highest cut-off mark of 81, followed by Dental Surgery 75.88, Nursing 75.55, Pharmacy 72.92, Physiotherapy 70.96, Radiography 68.33 and Optometry 66.
Others are Dental Therapy 50.33, Health Information Mgt 50.13, Human Anatomy 50, Human Nutrition and Dietetics 51.38, IT & Health Informatics 50.75, Physiology 50.92, Pharmacology 50, Biochemistry 50.80, Biology 50, Chemistry 50, Microbiology 51.13, Physics 50 and Statistics 50.
Meanwhile, the management advised prospective candidates to seek for 12 alternative undergraduate courses if they failed to meet their first choice course cut-off marks.
“The university management wishes to draw the attention of prospective candidates seeking admission into the university’s undergraduate programmes, to the opportunity available to them to consider alternative programmes from among the list below that they meet their aggregate cut-off.
The Registrar asked interested candidates to consider changing their programme of choice to the 12 available undergraduate programmes.
It reads: “Candidates who are unable to meet the approved cut-off mark for their preferred programme are strongly encouraged to give serious consideration to the alternative programmes.
“Prospective candidates should, therefore, carefully evaluate the available options and make an informed choice rather than forfeit the opportunity of pursuing undergraduate education at FUMMSA solely because they did not attain the cut-off mark for their initial programme of preference.
“Candidates interested in changing their programme of choice are advised to take the necessary steps through the appropriate admission channels and comply fully with the University’s requirements and procedures for the programme change.
“For the avoidance of doubt, consideration of any alternative programme does not constitute an automatic offer of admission. All candidates must satisfy the prescribed admission requirements for the programme selected, while admission will remain subject to the university’s established admission criteria, availability of spaces and other applicable regulatory requirements.”
The FUMMSA management urged affected candidates to consider 12 alternative programmes and make their programme choices accordingly.
