The Deputy National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Timothy Osadalor, has described yesterday’s hike in price of petrol by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), yesterday, as a re-enactment of the inhuman policy of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
Osadalor told Daily Sun, in a telephone interview, that the endless hike in the pump price of fuel is an indication that President Tinubu is detached from the hardship Nigerians are going through.
The PDP leader said: “What the NNPC has always done is to re-enact the inhuman treatment and policy inconsistency of this President Tinubu government.

“Recall that the day President Tinubu assumed office, without recourse to his economic team or briefing from the former government, he announced recklessly that subsidy was gone, forgetting that the oil sector is the biggest sector that affects the lives of Nigerians.
“The only thing it has shown is that deep inside the Aso Rock, where President Tinubu is cocooned, he is unaware about the hardship that Nigerians have to go through. He is unaware of the pains this fuel increment has brought into homes of millions of Nigerians.
“The President inside Aso Rock is alien to the poverty and hardship in the land. He is yet to come to terms with the fact that people cannot eat twice or even once a day in this country. Let alone buying fuel for N1030. That means for an average man, whose car tank is 70 litres, he needs N70,000 to fuel the car every four days or every three days. How much is the national minimum wage in this country?”
