FUBK kicks off post UTME

The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has announced the commencement of the Post University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) Admissions Screening Exercise for the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

The Public Relations Officer of the University, Jamilu Magaji disclosed this to newsmen at the University’s Main Campus in Birnin Kebbi.

 

According to him, the screening exercise would hold for five days from Monday 25 to Friday, September 29, 2023.

“The candidates from the Faculty of Science and College of Health Sciences would be screened on Monday and Tuesday, respectively,” The PRO said.

“The candidates from the Faculties of Art as well as Social and Management Sciences will be screened on Wednesday. Similarly, the candidates from the Faculties of Environmental Sciences and Education would have their screening on Thursday and Friday, respectively,” He added

While narrating his experience, Muhammad Atiku a candidate of B.Sc. Geology, expressed his pleasure with the screening exercise.

He said that the screening panel was concerned with academic and moral standards.

Another candidate from the Department of Microbiology, Hauwa Salihu Adamu described the exercise as ‘perfect’ as it provided an opportunity to interact with other applicants from across the country.

The FUBK is a federal government-owned university established in 2013 alongside those located in Gashua, Yobe State, and Gusau in Zamfara State. The University currently has three campuses and runs Thirty Seven (37) undergraduate programmes as well as Tweny (20) postgraduate programmes.
