The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has bade an emotional farewell to Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Olusegun Ogungbemidei, who retired from the Corps after a distinguished career marked by dedicated service to road safety and the nation.
Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, alongside members of the FRSC management team and the entire FRSC family, recently joined colleagues, friends and family members to celebrate the retired senior officer and honour his years of meritorious service.
Until his retirement, ACM Ogungbemidei served as the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of the Operations Department at the FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja, where he made significant contributions to the Corps’ operational effectiveness, professionalism and road safety mandate.
His years of service, according to the Corps, left an enduring footprint on the organisation, while his wealth of experience, leadership qualities and commitment to duty remained a cherished part of the FRSC story.

The senior officer was ceremoniously pulled out of the Corps on Monday,vAugust 24, 2026, in the company of his wife, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ogungbemidei, as colleagues and members of the FRSC family gathered to mark the end of his career in the organisation.
At the ceremony, the Corps Marshal and the Management celebrated ACM Ogungbemidei as an officer who gave his best in service to the nation and contributed meaningfully to the achievement of the Corps’ mandate.
Colleagues who spoke during the farewell described his retirement as the end of a remarkable chapter of service, while noting that his contributions and legacy would continue to live on within the FRSC.
They congratulated him on a successful career and wished him fulfilment in his future endeavours, good health and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
With his departure from the Corps, ACM Ogungbemidei begins a new chapter beyond the uniform, leaving behind a legacy of service, professionalism and commitment to the advancement of road safety in Nigeria
