The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has decorated the recently promoted Assistant Corps Marshals (CCMs) and Corps Commanders (CCs) with their ranks.
Among those decorated with the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed is the Corps Public Education Officer, ACM Olusegun Ogungbemide, mni.
The decoration ceremony was held at the corps’ national headquarters on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
The promotion of the top officers was announced recently by the FRSC through an official statement by the Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, Corps Commander Charles Edem.
The statement showed that 21 Corps Commanders (CC) were promoted to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), 11 Deputy Corps Commanders to the rank of Corps Commanders and 17 others elevated from Assistant Corps Commander to Deputy Corps Commander.
Speaking at the decoration ceremony, the Corps Marshal implored the decorated officers to be worthy ambassadors of the corps on all fronts.
Mohammed charged them to be recommitted to the ideals of the corps and put in greater efforts towards the realisation of its corporate mandate.
Some of the dignitaries in attendance are: Former Minister for Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, former Chairman, Federal Road Safety Commission, Hon. Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, RT. Honourable, Batiya Wesley and a host of others.
Earlier on Monday, the week took off on a glorious note for the FRSC as the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, a Federal Government agency under the Presidency adjudged it the Overall Best In Website Performance And Ranking for the 2023-2024 evaluation period.
Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed,who received the award in person, commended the transparency that heralded the entire screening process and pledged the corps’ commitment to maintaining quality on all fronts.
He also appreciated the general public for believing in the ability of the FRSC to deliver on its mandate.
