At The Africa Blue Print 2025 held on 27 November 2025 at the Afreximbank African Trade Centre in Abuja, hosted by the Africa CEO Club, Amb. Dr. Tseghomi “ShoJay” Oteri delivered a strong message to business leaders, policymakers and innovators.

Speaking during a high impact panel session, he explained that while innovation and technology are important, they are not enough to lead Africa into its next phase of transformation. “The future of Africa depends on audacity, accountability, and execution,” he said.

Dr. Oteri highlighted that many African institutions and businesses still struggle with outdated processes, fragmented data and weak adoption of digital tools. He stated that these challenges prevent technology from achieving its full potential. He further noted that closing these gaps requires leaders who align vision with action and build systems that deliver measurable results in real conditions.

He warned that technology becomes ineffective without practical application and follow through. The continent needs leaders who are bold enough to create change and disciplined enough to maintain it. According to him, success should no longer be measured by ideas alone but by outcomes that improve business sustainability and economic impact.

He also stressed the importance of collaboration to drive real transformation. “We must bring together government, private sector, and local talent to build the frameworks that enable sustainable growth,” he explained. He added that when policy, investment and execution operate together, African businesses can move from conversations to results and create stronger value systems.

Dr. Oteri encouraged African leaders to be ambitious yet practical. He explained that the continent already has the talent, ideas and opportunities to lead global innovation but must apply them with focus and accountability. He reminded participants that innovation becomes meaningful only when combined with clear targets and consistent delivery.

The Africa Blue Print 2025 gathered visionaries from various sectors to discuss strategies for a future ready continent. Dr. Oteri’s intervention reinforced the summit’s mission of turning potential into measurable growth through purposeful leadership, active collaboration and disciplined execution.
He advised organisations to review their internal systems regularly to detect inefficiencies early and respond quickly. He said performance indicators should be clearly defined and monitored so leaders can adjust strategies when needed. This approach, he explained, helps institutions maintain progress even when external conditions change.

He added that impact must be monitored with transparency and shared openly to inspire wider adoption. According to him, when leaders communicate progress clearly and demonstrate proof of delivery, it builds trust and motivates others to participate. He stated that this culture of accountability will help Africa sustain long term growth and drive stronger outcomes across sectors.

He concluded by stating that Africa’s transition from innovation to implementation will only become visible when leadership moves from intention to measurable action.

He urged decision makers to adopt a results oriented mindset and invest in building teams that can sustain progress over time. With the right structure, commitment and follow through, he said Africa can position itself as a global example of transformation driven by courage and consistent execution.
