With more than 11 million YouTube views, over 50 million streams, a rapidly expanding fan base, and recognition as one of the leading creators on TikTok, Mujeeb Adekunle Amosun, popularly known as M’Kido, has established himself as one of the most influential Nigerian voices within Francophone Africa.
From Benin Republic and Togo to Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and France, his influence has continued to grow beyond expectations.
According to industry observers, one of the most significant turning points in his career was his appearance on the widely celebrated House of Challenge. The programme, which brought together participants from several French-speaking countries, dramatically increased his visibility and introduced his music and personality to millions of people across the continent.

A graduate of the Department of Modern European Languages at the University of Ilorin, M’Kido says his love for language inspired his desire to create music that transcends geographical boundaries.
“I have always believed that language should bring people together rather than separate them. Music gave me the opportunity to communicate with people from different backgrounds, and I embraced it wholeheartedly.”
Industry insiders have also hinted that M’Kido is currently in discussions regarding collaborations with some of Africa’s most prominent stars from countries including France, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and several other African nations.
Speculation intensified after the Nigerian star was seen in the company of several renowned Congolese musicians, including international sensation Innos’B.
When the Congolese superstar was asked about the possibility of a future collaboration, he smiled before responding in French:
“Le meilleur est encore à venir.” Translated into English, the statement means:”The best is yet to come.”
Although neither artiste has officially confirmed the details of any forthcoming project, the response immediately generated excitement among fans across Africa.
Observers have pointed to M’Kido’s humility, creativity, and adaptability as some of the reasons why so many established names have expressed interest in working with him.
The singer’s forthcoming EP, Born Star, which is expected to be unveiled during an exclusive listening session in Paris, France, has further fuelled anticipation surrounding what comes next.
