Dr Frank Igbojindu, Founder and Convener of Education Or Nothing and Chief Executive Officer of Akpoazaa Group, has unveiled Scholars Connect, a new educational support programme designed to connect academically brilliant but financially disadvantaged students with individuals and organisations willing to sponsor their education.

The programme, introduced under Education Or Nothing, is open to Nigerian students irrespective of their state of origin, provided they attend recognised public tertiary institutions located in Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu or Imo State.

Eligible institutions include federal and state universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, public schools and colleges of agriculture, public nursing schools and other recognised public tertiary institutions within the region.

Operating under the slogan, “Connecting Brilliant Students with Educational Support,” Scholars Connect aims to bridge the gap between students struggling with educational expenses and philanthropists, foundations, corporate organisations and successful individuals interested in supporting education.

Speaking on the initiative, Igbojindu expressed concern over the financial challenges confronting academically talented students, noting that many promising young people struggle to complete their education because of circumstances beyond their control.

“Across our communities, we have brilliant students whose educational dreams are threatened by financial difficulties. At the same time, we have successful individuals and organisations willing to help but who may not know how to identify genuinely deserving students. Scholars Connect is designed to bridge that gap,” he stated.

He explained that the programme would seek to establish a transparent process for identifying students based on academic performance, genuine financial need and eligibility requirements.

Igbojindu called on successful Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora, to embrace educational sponsorship as a meaningful contribution to the development of their communities.

He emphasised that Scholars Connect is intended to create a continuing relationship between willing sponsors and deserving students rather than limiting assistance to occasional donations.

The education advocate, who also oversees Best Brain Contest, an educational organisation under Akpoazaa Group, reiterated his commitment to promoting academic excellence and expanding educational opportunities.

He disclosed that detailed information concerning applications, verification procedures and sponsorship participation would be communicated through the official Education Or Nothing platform.

Scholars Connect represents another step in the mission of Education Or Nothing to make education more accessible to deserving Nigerian students, regardless of their geographical or ethnic backgrounds.
