A nongovernmental organisation, Sly Foundation, has visited the victims of the flood that ravaged the Odoburu community in Delta State, donating relief materials.

Sympathising with victims affected by the flood, the founder of the NGO, Sylvester Omobor, said “the foundation decided to give relief materials to mitigate the effect of flood that has caused serious distress to Deltans.

“I’m hopeful that with our collective efforts, both as individuals and groups, every victim of this devastating flood will be catered for.”

Omobor and his team went to access the flood situation in some areas in Bomadi.

Addressing journalists, one of the volunteers of the organisation, David Orostical, said: “This is not political as we cannot play politics with natural disasters but we must applaud the effort of Amb. Sylveste Omobor who is always on ground with the people. He will never abscond in times of challenges. This is a clear test of a man who always stand by humanity through it all. His Move to other affected areas continues. May God keep everyone safe during this very trying times.
