The Let’s Give Foundation has celebrated five years of service, reaffirming its commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children through initiatives centred on love, hope, education and memorable experiences.
The foundation, which held its first outreach in April 2021, said it had impacted more than 3,000 children across communities in Lagos, including Ajegunle, Ejigbo, Agege, Igbobi and Makoko.
What started as a mission to ensure that children feel seen, valued and loved has grown into a platform providing support, encouragement and exposure to opportunities beyond their immediate environments.
Founder, Stephanie Mogor, said the organisation was established by a group of young people determined to remind vulnerable children of their worth and potential.
“We are a group of young people coming together to let these children know that they are loved and that there is nothing they cannot do,” Mogor said.
Over the past five years, the foundation has organised annual Christmas parties, Children’s Day outreaches, hospital visits, medical support programmes, skills acquisition initiatives and other activities designed to educate, inspire and uplift children.
One of its major achievements is its scholarship programme, through which it is sponsoring the secondary school education of a young girl, Peculiar, to enable her to continue her studies and pursue her aspirations.
The foundation said its activities are sustained by the generosity of donors and the dedication of its founders and volunteers, whose collective efforts have helped to create lasting memories and bring hope to children in underserved communities.
As part of its fifth anniversary celebration, it called on individuals, corporate organisations and community groups to support its mission and help expand its reach.
It stressed that acts of kindness, regardless of their size, can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life and contribute to a brighter future
With five years of impact behind it, the foundation said it remains committed to giving vulnerable children love, laughter and hope, while creating opportunities that encourage them to dream bigger and believe in their potential.
