With the initial plans of allowing just home-based athletes to take part at the maiden edition of the Dynamic Athletics Outdoor Meeting, the organisers have changed their mind after more foreign athletes enquired about taking part in the meet.
According to the CEO of Dynamic Athletics, Olabanji Ayegbusi, within a short spate of time, he already received more messages from international athletes if they are eligible to participate at the meet.
“Within a short spate of time, we have received more messages from international athletes if they are eligible to participate at the (Dynamic Athletics Outdoor Meeting) coming up in January 2024,” he said.“The answer is yes, you are eligible to compete. Dynamic Athletics Outdoor Meeting is open for both home and foreign athletes.”
Speaking further he said the organisers were trying to put everything in place so as to have a seamless competition before opening the registration portal while also releasing other information on the Meeting.
The groundbreaking Athletics meeting aiming to fine-tune the readiness of the athletes toward the 2024 National All Comers, the World Indoors as well as the African Games scheduled for the earlier part of the season.
