The 2023 governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, has commiserated with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on the demise of his mother, Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.
He made this known in a statement, which he personally endorsed and was made available to journalists in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday.
According to Folarin, who is the current Chairman of Senate Committee on Local Content from Oyo Central senatorial district, “I received the news of Mama’s demise with a heavy heart. One of the most heartbreaking and agonizing experiences anyone can go through is losing a mother. She was a devout Christian, whose dedication to Christ and humanity remained unwavering, even as she grew older.
“Mama led a meaningful life, which makes her departure unforgettable. Over her 90 years on earth, she was remarkably generous, tolerant and contented. Although we are saddened by her passing, we must find solace in the fact that she lived an impactful life and left behind accomplished children and grandchildren, who are making waves all over the world.
“I beseech the Almighty to grant her soul eternal rest and grant you and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
