Organisers of the World University Games (FISU) has called up Nigerian Weightlifting buff, Lawrence Iquaibom as one of the technical officials for the games billed to run from August 19-30 in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei.
FISU in the letter inviting Iquaibom for the event said he would alongside other technical officials be accredited on arrival. Weightlifting events according to the schedule released by FISU is to run from August 20-25.
Iquaibom who early this year was promoted Akwa Ibom State director of sports told Daily Sunsports yesterday that he would be jetting out on the 17th of August aboard Qatar Airways for the international assignment.
The Commonwealth bronze medalist in weightlifting said officiating at the World University Games is another big plus in his rising career as weightlifting umpire.
