First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child 2025, issued a heartfelt message urging the nation to recognise and support the daily struggles of girls across the country.

Marking this year’s theme: “The Girl I am, The Change I lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” the First Lady called attention to the courage and resilience of girls, especially those facing adversity.

In her message, the First Lady said: “To every brave girl, striving to reach the classroom, walking miles for water, or carrying the quiet strength of displacement, you are seen, you are heard and valued. Your courage lights the way to a brighter future.”

She further called on all Nigerians to unite in creating an enabling environment for girls to achieve their fullest potential.

“Let us come together to support our girls to reach their maximum potential,” Mrs Tinubu noted.

The First Lady concluded with a warm greeting: “Happy International Day of the Girl Child 2025,” reiterating her commitment to the welfare and empowerment of girls nationwide.
