First Lady mourns Zamfara Islamic school fire victims, calls for safety measures

Following a tragic fire at an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed her condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Zamfara State. The fire claimed the lives of 17 students and injured 17 others.

In a statement she personally signed on Thursday, Tinubu commiserated with Governor Dauda Lawal and the people of Zamfara State over the tragic incident. She prayed for comfort and fortitude for the families and loved ones of the deceased.

The First Lady emphasised the importance of precautionary safety measures in all public facilities to prevent future occurrences.

She expressed hope that such incidents would not happen again in Zamfara State or any other part of the country.
