First Lady condemns abduction of 25 students in Kebbi, calls for swift rescue

First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, expressed deep sorrow over the abduction of 25 students from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi State, alongside the tragic killing of the school’s Vice Principal.

Describing the incident as a painful attack on innocent students and committed educators, the First Lady condemned the violence as an assault on the fundamental values of safety and education within schools.

She noted that President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to prioritise the swift and safe rescue of the abducted girls and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

She extended her heartfelt prayers to the families, friends, and school community affected by the tragedy, invoking God’s intervention for the safe return of the girls and eternal peace for the departed Vice Principal, praying that her soul rests in Aljannah Firdaus.
