The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to embrace happiness as a collective responsibility, emphasising kindness in digital spaces during the 2026 International Day of Happiness.

In a commemorative message themed “Caring and Sharing”, Mrs Tinubu highlighted how interconnected social media platforms should foster positivity rather than division. She called on citizens to use their voices—online and offline—to uplift and unite communities.

“Let us use our voices, both online and offline, to uplift, inspire, and unite. Let us teach our children that happiness grows when it is shared,” she stated.

The First Lady stressed the importance of fostering empathy and compassion in Nigeria, adding, “When we care for one another, we all thrive!” She signed off with warm wishes for a Happy International Day of Happiness.
