First Bank confirms Alebiosu as MD, Ebong revealed as DMD

First Bank of Nigeria Limited has confirmed the appointment of Olusegun Alebiosu as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO).

Ini Ebong and Omotunde Alao-Olaifa were also confirmed Deputy Managing Director and Non-Executive Director respectively.

This is contained in a filing signed by Company Secretary, Adewale Arogundade to the Nigerian Exchange Group on Wednesday, June 19.

The appointments are subject to approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

In April 2024, Alebiosu was appointed Acting MD/CEO by the Board of Directors of the 130-year-old financial institution following the resignation of Dr. Adesola Adeduntan.

Alebiosu, who joined FirstBank in 2016, has over three decades of banking experience.

Before his appointment as Acting MD/CEO in April, he was Executive Director / Chief Risk Officer of the bank.
