Firo Boxing Promotion unveils thrilling Valentine’s Day massacre event

Firo Boxing Promotion is set to make history with its inaugural event, “Valentine’s Day Massacre”, scheduled to take place on February 14, 2026, at Bariga Stadium, CMS Lagos.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of the boxing fiesta, chief host, Tijani Adedamola Taofeek described the event as “mind-blowing and history-making”, aimed at giving back to the community where he grew up.

“It is the first of its kind in Bariga and to me, it’s a way of giving back to my community. Bariga is blessed with so many talents and boxing seems to be the biggest sport among Bariga youths.”

“I can assure you all is set and this maiden edition will certainly lure brands into partnering with us. I have always known to derived pleasure from giving back to the society and this is a tip of iceberg compare to other plans in the offings,” he stated.

In a similar vein, Secretary General, Nigeria Boxing Board of Control, Remi Aboderin also reaffirmed support ahead of the tournament while hinting all hands are on deck to ensure it end with standing ovation.

“All hands are deck, the medical team are alert including officials. I am happy with this idea and I hope others can emulate this from Adedamola.”

The event will features nine exciting bouts which will see Oluwatosin Adeshina tackles Akeem Adewale, Kabiru Towolawi takes on Sunday Abuse, Taiwo Olowu face-off Modric Adeshina while Bolatito Oluwole battle for supremacy against Aminat Yekini.

Lekan Muibi, Justin Hounkpebi, Abudul-afeez Osoba, Hamza Idris, Adegoke Hammed, Afeez Enroll, Emmanuel Abimbola, Nurudeen Iyiola, Sulaimon Habeeb and Fatai Bello will all square up against each other.
