Fire guts Gen Diya’s Lagos house

Fire gutted the house of former Chief of General Staff, Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya in Lagos yesterday evening.
The house is located at Adekunle Fajuyi road in Ikeja GRA.
It was learnt that Diya was not at home at the time of the incident, and the cause was not immediately known.
Officials of the Lagos State Fire Service and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) battled till about 7.00pm to put out the fire.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police and the Commander of the Rapid Response Squad who were returning from a visit to Ikorodu were at the scene to assist in quenching the fire.
