FilmOne Entertainment has launched the seventh edition of The Nigeria Box Office Yearbook, Nigeria’s annual industry publication documenting verified theatrical box office performance across cinemas nationwide.

The Yearbook, first published in 2019, has grown into one of the most consistent records of box office activity in the country, providing validated performance data for both Nollywood and Hollywood releases. The 2025 edition continues this tradition, offering insights into audience behaviour, release patterns, cultural moments and broader market trends shaping Nigeria’s theatrical film landscape.

According to FilmOne, the publication is designed to serve both as an industry reference book and a strategic intelligence tool for filmmakers, studios, distributors, exhibitors, brands, investors, media organisations and policymakers. It enables stakeholders to track performance over time, benchmark success, and make informed decisions based on reliable data in a rapidly evolving cinema market.

Speaking on the significance of the seventh edition, Kene Okwuosa, Group CEO of Filmhouse Group, described the Yearbook as a foundational publication for the industry, stressing the importance of continuity and transparency in strengthening Nigeria’s cinema ecosystem.

“Sustaining the Nigerian Box Office Yearbook over seven consecutive years reflects our commitment to consistency, accuracy and transparency. This publication has become foundational to the industry, offering credible insight into how films perform, how audiences engage, and how the market is maturing,” Okwuosa said.

Also speaking, Ladun Awobokun, Chief Content Officer of FilmOne Entertainment, said the strength of the Yearbook lies in its consistency across editions, noting that it has evolved into an institutional record of how Nigerian audiences engage with cinema.

FilmOne stated that the Yearbook tracks performance across genres, release windows and audience segments, while also documenting industry milestones that contribute to long-term market understanding.

The Nigeria Box Office Yearbook 2025 is now available to press, industry stakeholders, partners, researchers and institutions, while archived editions dating back to 2019 remain accessible for reference, historical insight and comparative analysis.
