Nigeria’s D’Tigress suffered another narrow defeat at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup after losing 71-67 to Hungary in their second Group game on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
D’Tigress battled hard throughout the closely contested encounter, but Hungary maintained their composure to secure a four-point victory.
Nigeria entered the final quarter trailing but produced a spirited late rally to reduce the deficit and put pressure on the Hungarians.
However, despite their determined comeback attempt, D’Tigress were unable to complete the turnaround as Hungary held firm in the closing minutes to claim the win.
The defeat leaves Nigeria still searching for their first victory of the tournament following their opening-game loss.
