The Director-General, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has appeaed to the federal government to provide subsidy for the 2025 Hajj.

He made this appeal during a live interview on the Barka da Hatsi program aired on Freedom Radio on Monday

Rabi’u observed that the prevailing economic challenges in the country have significantly impacted on the lives of many citizens, making it difficult for intending pilgrims to afford the cost of Hajj.

He stressed that the hajj subsidy would alleviate the financial burden on Muslim faithful intending to perform this sacred religious obligation.

“In view of the current situation in our country, I appeal to the Federal Government to consider implementing a subsidy for the benefit of our Muslim Ummah. This will ensure that more people can fulfill their religious duty without undue financial stress,” he stated.

Rabi’u further advised all intending pilgrims interested in participating in the 2025 Hajj to ensure they pay their deposits via bank draft before the deadline.

He emphasized the importance of early payment to facilitate proper planning and logistics for the pilgrimage.

“Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains committed to ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj experience for all intending pilgrims and will continue to advocate for measures that will ease the financial burden on the faithful, he statdd
