Umueri Progressive Forum, (UPF) of Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State has appealed to the Federal Government and Governor Chukwuma Soludo to intervene in a land dispute rocking the community.

UPF President, Ikemba Buchi Diboh, in a statement on Saturday accused the state Deputy Governor, Gilbert Ibezim, of dismantling a multi-million naira billboard mounted in the town.

Diboh recalled how several attacks were carried out by some persons from Nsugbe against Umueri, prompted them to put up a bill board a distance from the boundary area, to stop further attack.

According to him, the Umueri people were still in search of three missing persons from the community following the alleged recent invasion by Nsugbe youths.

“The group is asking the Federal Government to call the deputy governor to order, as the place the billboard was mounted was not in any dispute.

“We are requesting the Federal Government to intervene and save the community from unholy gang up to wipe us out of inheritance,” he said.
