From the 8th to 10 of June, Nigeria will host the National TVET Conference 2026 to advance skills, create employment opportunities, and promote industrial growth.
Convened by the Federal Ministry of Education and Lagos State Government through Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB), the conference themed “Harnessing TVET as a Pathway to Employment: Building a System for Employability, Inclusion, and Green Growth in Nigeria” will bring together key stakeholders from across government, industry experts, development partners, academia, and civil society organizations, to strengthen coordination and accelerate reforms within Nigeria’s TVET ecosystem.

The National TVET Conference 2026 represents a unique opportunity to transform ongoing reforms into coordinated, scalable, and sustainable actions that respond to labour market demands and unlock opportunities for Nigeria’s growing youth population.
This event is supported by the German, Swiss, Korean, and French governments and organised in cooperation with Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and other development partners, including the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and ECOWAS, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Young African International (YAI), British Council and Skills Initiative For Africa (SIFA).
