FG, experts brainstorm on African climate, clean energy in Abuja

Top government functionaries, a diverse community of thought leaders, innovators, policymakers and industry experts are set to brainstorm in Abuja at an African climate forum.

The conversations seek to ignite a change in the energy landscape in Nigeria and indeed, the African continent by deepening the usage of cheaper, cleaner energy that is environmentally-friendly.

The forum is put together  by the   Global Centre for Law, Business, and Economy (GCLBE), a leading international organisation dedicated to advancing sustainability, promoting legal excellence and fostering economic development.

Director General of GCLBE, Dr. George Nwangwu, and the event planner, Phil Okoroafor, who disclosed this in a statement in  Abuja on Tuesday, said the event themed; Powering the Future: Financing Energy Transition for Sustainable Progress, is scheduled for  October 10-11, 2023 at the Armed Forces Officers Complex, Asokoro, Abuja.

According to the organisers, “the world is at a pivotal moment in its pursuit of a sustainable future, and this conference serves as a beacon of hope and progress; and with the aim of accelerating the global transition to clean and sustainable energy sources. It will also feature an exciting and innovative exhibition”.

Key Highlights of the Conference include:

Inspiring Keynotes: Visionaries from various sectors will share insights into the latest developments in energy transition and sustainable financing.

Interactive Panel Discussions: Engaging conversations on the most pressing topics in clean energy, finance, and sustainability will be led by experts at the forefront of change.

Innovation Showcase: Explore groundbreaking technologies, projects, and solutions driving the global transition to sustainable energy sources.

Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded professionals and create lasting partnerships that will drive actionable change.

Startup Pitch: Pitching opportunity for Renewable Energy Startups.
