Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has commenced online accreditation for officers on Salary Grade Levels 14, 15 and 16 participating in the 2026 promotion exercise in the Federal Civil Service.
The Commission said the accreditation exercise would run from Friday, August 14, to Friday, August 28, through its designated promotion portal.
In a statement yesterday by the Head, Press and Public Relations, Ibraheem Zakariyya, the FCSC directed all affected candidates to complete the accreditation within the stipulated period.
According to the Commission, candidates will access the accreditation portal using log-in details to be sent to their respective registered email addresses.
It warned that the deadline of August 28 was final, stressing that the portal would close at the end of the exercise and that there would be no extension.
The Commission further cautioned that officers who failed to complete the accreditation within the prescribed period would have to re-present themselves for the promotion exercise in 2027.
The FCSC, therefore, urged all affected officers to complete the process early rather than wait until the closing date.
It also directed Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to ensure that all concerned staff are informed of the directive and comply with the accreditation requirements.
It specifically called for officers serving at duty posts outside their headquarters, as well as those serving abroad, to be brought to the attention of the exercise and its timelines.
The official correspondence conveying the directive was signed by the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission.
The Commission said the measure was part of efforts to ensure a transparent, orderly and timely conduct of the promotion exercise.
It urged all concerned candidates and MDAs to adhere strictly to the guidelines and deadline for the accreditation exercise.
