He praised President Tinubu for prioritising competence, integrity, and experience in making the appointment, noting that the decision reflects the administration’s unwavering commitment to repositioning Nigeria’s educational and agricultural institutions through capable and visionary leadership.

Having served the institution diligently for many years, Dr. Salisu possesses a deep understanding of the college’s operations, strengths, challenges, and immense potential. I have every confidence that under his leadership, FCAPT will witness significant institutional growth, improved academic standards, and enhanced capacity to deliver on its mandate,” Professor Gwarzo stated.
According to him, the appointment comes at a strategic period when the Federal Government is intensifying efforts to transform the agricultural sector into a major pillar of economic diversification, food security, job creation, and sustainable national development.
“With President Tinubu placing agriculture at the centre of his Renewed Hope Agenda, I am confident that Dr. Salisu will provide the visionary leadership required to reposition the college as a leading institution for agricultural education, research, innovation, and technology. His leadership will undoubtedly produce highly skilled professionals capable of driving Nigeria’s agricultural transformation and contributing meaningfully to national development,” he added.
