Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has approved the immediate termination of the appointment of the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP), Mr Ayo Adegbite.
The letter conveying the sack and termination of his appointment was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode, directed Adegbite to hand over government properties in his custody to the Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol.
However, the statement didn’t state the offence committed by Adegbite
Adegbite was the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Deputy Governor’s office during Fayemi’s first term.
The sacked government official is a close ally of the former deputy governor, Prof Modupe Adelabu.
He hails from Ado Ekiti in Ado local government area of the state.
