About Naphtali he said: “Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the Lord and is full of his blessing; he will inherit southward to the lake.”
Moses the Man of God proclaimed a remarkable blessing upon Naphtali as he prophetically shaped the outlook of every tribe of Israel before he died.
He said of Naphtali, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south. Alleluia.
The NIV translation said that Naphtali is abounding with the favour of the Lord, meaning that he is increasing in favour with God every day and the result of God’s favour increasing towards him was that he became full of the blessings of the Lord.
The blessing of the Lord makes men rich and he adds no sorrow to it, according to Proverbs 10:22.
Favor is a critical factor to possessing the west and the south and possessing every desire of your heart. Naphtali increased in favour and that favour gave him blessings so much.
The Message Translation actually says Naphtali brims with blessings, spills over with God ’s blessings as he takes possession of the sea and southland.
This prophecy about Naphtali is actually yours today in Christ. Are you ready to take possession of the sea and the southland? Do you desire to see your life brim with blessings and spill over with God’s blessings? The secret lies in abounding in the favour of the Lord.
You abound in favour by believing that you are favoured and confessing every day that God’s favour is working for you. When you abound in God’s favour it will cause your life to abound with blessings.
What is the secret to abounding in the favour of the Lord and with the favour of the Lord? There are two revelations here; the first is abounding in the favor of the Lord which means increasing in the knowledge and understanding in the favor that God has given you, believing in it more and more.
The second is using that favour like a tool through your confessions to abound and prosper in life, taking possession of your miracles by favour through your confessions of faith.
Colossians 2:7- Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving._
You need to believe that God’s favor is upon your life because you are in Christ. When Jesus came, He brought grace and favour.
You are in Christ and therefore in the domain of favour. You need to believe strongly and confess daily that you are favoured and offer thanksgiving to God for the favour. It is actually possible to enjoy favour before God and men, just like Jesus.
Luke 2:51-52 says “And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
When Jesus was 12 years old, He went to the Temple with His parents. When His parents were leaving, He unilaterally decided to stay back in Jerusalem which action caused His parents to search for Him for three days before they finally found Him in the temple.
When they saw Him, He went down home with them to Nazareth and the scripture says that He was subject to them. To be subject means that He stayed under their rulership and control.
Though He was the Son of God in the flesh, He allowed Joseph and Mary to govern and control His life. He Listened to their counsel and followed their instructions.
The result was that Jesus increased in wisdom and walked in favour because He was subject to Joseph and Mary who were both very wise people and understood how favour works.
Mary was described as highly favoured by the angel that announced the conception of Jesus. She was the type of woman who followed the instructions of God and hence she attracted God’s favour.
Many people live independently and act as they please and hence struggle to find favour. They do not consciously subject themselves to anyone because they feel they know what to do or are matured enough to make their own decisions.
Pride is the reason why you would not allow anyone tell you what to do in case you do not know. As a result of the influence of Joseph and Mary upon Jesus, Jesus was able to enjoy uncommon favours with God and men. The key word here is the fact that Jesus was subject to Joseph and Mary. Is there anybody in your life that you are subject to?
Esther enjoyed favour because she did only what Mordecai asked her to do. Favour will always pour in the direction of someone who follows the instructions of his leader or person in authority over him.
God commands children to obey their parents. He commands servants or those who serve under authority to obey their leaders and masters and not to act independently. If you examine your life, Is there any person in your life who governs your life and who you submit to? Or do you live like a wild horse on whose back no one can ride?
• Some unwise people may say, ‘I only listen to the Holy Spirit. I listen to no man.’ That is foolishness on display because Jesus listened to Mary and Joseph who were not the Holy Spirit.*
To find favour in your work place, learn to follow the instructions of your boss. Your objective should be to please your masters in the flesh. You cannot please your leader if you are acting independently. Titus 2:9 says “exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; humble yourself like Jesus did and be subject under an authority. Jesus grew in wisdom because He listened to Joseph and Mary.”
Last Line: Have you ever wondered what it means to give your life to Christ and be saved? Are you born again? God sent Jesus to die for all your sins so that you will not have to be punished for the same. To be saved means to simply accept Christ Jesus as your substitutionary sacrifice for your sins and to make him lord over your life. Surrender your life to Christ today by asking Jesus to forgive you your sins; ask Him to come into your life and to make you a new person.
