One year after the success of his debut title, I Will Get Back to You, visionary fashionpreneur and conference speaker John Adefisayo is set to release his much-anticipated second book, Living by Design.
His new work comes on the heels of a debut that resonated with many young Nigerians. I Will Get Back to You was read by over 200 creative entrepreneurs, featured on TVC’s Wake Up Nigeria, and flourished in bookstores nationwide. For many, it provided clarity in starting out and navigating the uncertainties of the business of creativity .

Now, with Living by Design, Adefisayo says he is ready to go deeper. According to him, Living by Design is not just another motivational guide but a “divine blueprint.” Drawing from scripture, his own life journey, and the lessons learned from working with young people in fashion and business, he argues that creativity is sacred.
“Creativity must serve more than self-expression,” he explains. “It is not just about talent or aesthetics. This book is my call to a generation to live boldly, create intentionally, and steward our gifts for things that truly matter.
“One of the biggest lessons I have learned,” John Adefisayo says, “is that creativity is not an accident. It is inbuilt, it is deliberate, and it is designed to align with God’s intent for us. When we see our gifts this way, we stop wasting them and start multiplying their impact.”
For John, whose bespoke fashion brand has attracted attention both locally and internationally, this release is personal. He believes many people are creative but struggle with direction and purpose.
“We live in a country where young people are bursting with ideas, but many do not know where to channel them,” he notes. “I want readers to understand that their creativity is not random, it is an assignment. When you design your life with God at the center, you not only create better, but you also live better.”
For John Adefisayo, mentoring the next generation of faith-driven entrepreneurs has always been central to his work. Through his conferences, fashion platform, and speaking engagements, he has consistently pushed the message of creativity with purpose. “The biggest tragedy,” he says, “is to have a gift that the world never experienced because you hid it or misused it. I want people to stop treating creativity like a side hustle and start seeing it as a calling. That is what Living by Design is about. We are in a season where more Nigerians than ever are seeking direction. People are tired of hustling without meaning. I believe God wants to remind us that life is not by chance, it is by design.”
