May Day: Benue Links GM calls workers backbone of economy

Alexander Fanafa, General Manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, has praised his workers for their commitment and resilience, describing them as the backbone of Benue State’s economy.

In a Workers’ Day message on Thursday, May 1, Fanafa extended appreciation to his staff and workers worldwide in a statement shared with newsmen in Makurdi.

“Dear Management and Staff of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, and to workers in the public and private sectors in Benue, Nigeria, and across the globe, as we celebrate the 2025 Workers’ Day, I, Alexander Fanafa GM of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, extend warm greetings and appreciation to each one of you for your tireless efforts in driving progress and growth in our organisation, our state, and our world,” the statement read.

“Today, we honour the invaluable contributions of workers like yourselves, who are the backbone of our economy and the driving force behind innovation and development. Your dedication, resilience, and passion inspire us all to strive for excellence.”

Fanafa expressed gratitude to Benue Links’ team for their unwavering commitment, noting that their hard work fuels the organisation’s success. “To workers everywhere, I salute you. May this Workers’ Day celebration recharge your batteries, renew your spirit, and rekindle your passion for the incredible work you do,” he added.

He also commended Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia for his worker-friendly policies, including prompt salary and pension payments and implementation of the new minimum wage.

“We appreciate his visionary leadership and dedication to the well-being of Benue State workers. May we continue to work together towards a brighter future for ourselves, our organisations, and our communities,” Fanafa said.
