About ten years ago after the breakup of his last marriage to Stephanie Henshaw, charismatic preacher and founder of Household of God Church, Rev. Chris Okotie announced that he had no intention of getting married in the future. Not many took his decision so seriously as they couldn’t fathom how such a wealthy, handsome preacher would ward off the temptation from hundreds of nubile young ladies in his congregation. But a decade later, the televangelist reiterated his vow not to be entangled in a marriage for the third time.
Okotie, 64, has been married twice in the past. His first marriage to Tina Okotie ended in divorce after 15 years. Tina had moved out of Nigeria and made it clear that she had no intention of returning to Nigeria. His second marriage to Stephanie in 2008 created a media sensation. The mother of three had been previously married twice. Sadly her first husband passed away while her second marriage ended in divorce. Unfortunately things came to a grinding halt in June 2012 when Okotie announced to his congregation that the marriage was over with no chance of reconciliation.
