The general overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries worldwide, Pastor Daniel Olukoya, has said that family values can bring lasting peace in the world.
Pastor Olukoya, who was speaking last Sunday in Abuja during the dedication of a multi-level international headquarters annex of the ministry, named Prayer, Praise and Power Cathedral,
said people should be conscious of who they propose marriage to, as their choice of spouse might make or mar them.
According to him, families should pray very hard for progress in their homes as generational curses may draw families back.
He said, “One may be born in deficit, because one member of one’s ancestors had introduced failure to the generations, even the unborn, if the right corrections are not made.
“To put the world in order, you need to put the nations in order. To put the nations in order, you must put the families in order. Once this is not done, the family, and, by extension, the world, will be stunted, sick and affected by other similar ills of the society.”
According to him, two decisions, whom to serve and whom to marry, are very important in a human life.
“The tragic mistake most people make is that they choose who to marry, before deciding on who to serve. Doing so means that you consider your family and your wife’s family before deciding to serve God.
“Any evil route in generational line can cause problems for everybody, because, to be born, one needs two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, 16 great-great-grandparents and so on. Any offender whose punishment is not atoned for will surely afflict the subsequent generations, except one does the atonement through deliverance.”
Olukoya, who said that the gigantic, six-floor church complex was the fifth of the buildings he would be invited to dedicate by the senior regional overseer of Abuja, Pastor Olumide Oni, commended the pastor for his consistent development of God’s worship centres.
According to him, “This man (Oni) has broken the record in MFM today. This is the fifth time I’m helping him to dedicate a region.
He also noted that God appreciates spiritual fighters, through aggressive prayers, which is what Jacob stood for, adding that Isaac was a son of promise and laughter who brought laughter to the mouths of his parents.
Making reference to the 14 years it took the region to complete the elegant structure, Olukoya said that the pastor brought laughter to the mouth of everyone by completing the building.
The gigantic structure contains a bookshop, a children’s church, canteens, supermarket, a clinic and church store.
Also in the structure is a deliverance hall, transport department, an abattoir and a teenage church.
