The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has said it will temporarily shut down power supply to International Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 1:00amo 4:30am

The Director of Public Affairs, Obiageli Orah said this planned power disruption is necessary to replace a faulty 11KVA high-tension panel and that FAAN is working to minimise disruptions to flight operations.

She further stated that in order to accommodate Royal Air Maroc, which usually operates during the maintenance window, check-in and arrival procedures for the airline will be relocated to International Terminal one.

She said, “FAAN has notified all affected airlines, security agencies, and concessionaires. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and assure our passengers that the safety and security of all airport users remain our top priority. We regret any inconvenience caused to our stakeholders and passengers. The safety and security of all airport users will always be paramount in our considerations.”
