The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has joined the ranks of world-class airport operators by securing dual ISO certifications: ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management. The awards were granted by MSECB, Canada, following an independent audit of FAAN’s operations and systems.

The certifications validate that FAAN’s processes meet international standards for quality, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement. They reflect the Authority’s commitment to delivering efficient, safe, and customer-focused airport services while promoting sustainable environmental practices across all FAAN-managed airports. FAAN’s achievement also strengthens the credibility of Nigeria’s airports, enhancing their competitiveness on the global aviation stage.
Commenting on the milestone, FAAN acknowledged the role of its stakeholders and praised the dedication of its workforce. The Authority reiterated its commitment to upholding global best practices and continuously improving service delivery across the Nigerian aviation sector, ensuring that passengers and partners experience world-class operations at every touchpoint.
“We remain committed to delivering quality and environmentally responsible services while continually improving our operations,” FAAN stated.
This dual certification marks a significant step in positioning Nigeria’s airports among the world’s best.
